Conflict
The then Imperial War Graves Commission was created during the height of the First World War to formalise the commemoration of more than a million Commonwealth casualties from the conflict. Today we commemorate more than 1.7 million Commonwealth men and women who died in the world wars. Tell us their stories. (Image: © IWM (Q 100465)
