More than a million Commonwealth casualties of the First World War can be found in our beautiful cemeteries and on our iconic memorials. The battlefields of the Western Front and Gallipoli are infamous for huge losses of life, but on land, sea and air, men and women around the world gave their lives and are commemorated in perpetuity.
