Private William Hamilton Graham Service No. 84652, 13th Coy, Royal Army Medical Corps

Born on 30th November 1891 at Girvan, son of Gilbert and Agnes Hamilton (maiden name Graham), Orchardlea, Girvan. (Married at the Free Church, Girvan on 27th December 1886.). 1901 Census - Age 9, scholar, staying at 30 Dalrymple Street, Girvan with parents. A Chemist to trade.

Brother of Agnes Stewart Wilson, Orchardlea, Girvan.

Brother-in-law of William Allon Wilson who also gave his life in the Great War on 31st May 1917 aged 29 years.

He enlisted on 16th November 1914 at Glasgow. Formerly 15414 Cameron Highlanders.

Admitted to Cromarty Hospital hospital on 14th August 1918 at 11.30a.m. and died at 12.30 p.m. on 15th August 1918 of Tuberculous Meningitis, aged 26 years. 

Remembered with Honour at Girvan Doune Cemetery, East Section, No. E23. 

Commemorated on Girvan War Memorial, Girvan High School Roll of Honour and Chalmers United Free Church Memorial, Girvan.
