Sec. of the Singapore Bar Committee, the Straits Settlements Assn., and the King Edward VII Memorial Fund. Capt. of the Singapore Volunteer Inf. Representative of the Straits Settlements at the Coronation of H.M. King George V in 1911. Served in Gallipoli and in France. Born at Slough, Bucks.
