  • Additional Info Son of the late Robert Dunn; husband of Jane Dunn (nee Kirkwood), of 15, Durham Rd., Portobello, Edinburgh. Of London. Joined Queen's Edinburgh Rifles as 2nd Lt., 1893; Capt. and Instructor of Musketry, 1899. Served in the South African War, 1901-2. Appointed Maj. in 4th Bn. Royal Scots and given the rank of Hon. Capt. in Army, 1902. Brigade Maj. of the 1st Lothian Inf. Bde. and became Hon. Lt. Col., 1906. Appointed Secretary of the Midlothian Association on the formation of the Territorial Force. Gazetted to the Command of 1st/4th Bn. Royal Scots in Jan., 1915.
