  • Additional Info Son of William and Amy de Beaumont Beaumont-Checkland, and grandson of the Comte de Beaumont. Enlisted 1914; volunteered for Infantry 1916. B.A., Barrister-at-Law, Inner Temple. Led up a small reinforcement to hold the line against a strong counter-attack, and fell within four miles of the Memorial.
