Percy was born on 31 October 1880 in Pune, Maharashtra, India, the son of Constance and Charles. He married Anne Catherine Fletcher Hathorn in 1905.
He was the grandson of ‘Sir’ George W. Anderson KCB and Robert Allfrey DL. Captain Anderson joined the Lancers in 1900.
He rode the winner of the Irish Grand Military Steeplechase in two consecutive years.
From 1910-1914 he was an instructor in Cavalry Tactics at the Cavalry School of Instruction at Netheravon. In June 1914 he rejoined his Regiment at Rawalpindi in India.
He died on 5 September 1915 in Peshawar, North West Frontier Pakistan, at the age of 34, and was buried in New Delhi, Delhi, India.
Percy was killed commanding a squadron of his regiment in a cavalry charge, during an engagement with the Mohmands at Sheb Kador, on the Punjab Frontier.
