George was born in about 1893, in Holt, Norfolk, he married Marjorie Farrow in the last quarter of 1917, in the district of Smallburgh, Norfolk.
He enlisted in the 17th Lancers and arrived in France in November 1914 from India, and he was killed in action on the 8th August 1918 as recorded in Soldiers Effects. George is buried in Rosieres Community Cemetery Extension, plot III. A. 10.
