Thomas was born in about 1894 in Portsmouth, Hampshire to Thomas a bricklayer and Elizabeth and in 1911 the family is living at 55 Buckland St, Portsmouth and Thomas was working as a shop boy.
He enlisted into the 21st Lancers disembarking in India on 19th June 1916 to serve with 1st Troop ‘B’ Squadron, he died 29th October 1918 from Influenza and he was buried in the Meerut Cantonment Cemetery II.307.
At the time of his death his family had moved to of 58 Buckland St, Portsmouth.
