Nigel Hugh Wallington was born in 1897 at Chineham Manor, Basingstoke. His parents were John Arthur Beach Wallington and Constance Mary St.John Mildmay, 2nd Lt Nigel Wallington served with the Somerset Light Infantry and was accidentally killed on the 21st June 1917 at Arras in France after only joining his battalion the previous evening.
